Risk & Compliance Manager at Prudential Assurance Company Singapore Develop and execute regulatory compliance and risk management programs to ensure the company operates within legal boundaries and maintains ethical standards. Job Profile Summary Your role is crucial for ensuring that the company operates within legal boundaries, adheres to regulations, and maintains ethical standards. Responsibilities include overseeing regulatory compliance, assessing risks, and designing and implementing risk and compliance programs. Effective communication, analytical thinking, and ethical integrity are essential skills for success. Job Description Develop and implement company policies and processes, Group requirements, and regulations. Develop, maintain and monitor the annual compliance plan, ensuring timely execution of activities. Provide guidance and assistance to business units regarding relevant regulations specific to the insurance industry; integrate regulatory requirements into business plans and processes and clearly articulate compliance matters. Review existing processes related to data privacy, regulatory, sales compliance and financial crimes requirements, identify risks and implement mitigation measures. Collaborate with business functions to document controls related to risk management, compliance, internal controls, and operational processes. Assist in monitoring control systems and perform RCSA and control testing to evaluate key controls. Oversee timely and accurate submission of non-financial regulatory reports to relevant authorities. Assist in managing internal and external audit reviews/projects. Provide support for regular and ad‑hoc reporting to governance forums. Undertake ad‑hoc tasks and projects as directed by the Head of Risk and Compliance. Who We Are Looking For Experience in regulated financial adviser/insurance industry and familiarity with applicable statutes, rules, and regulations (e.g., Financial Advisers Act, MAS Codes, AML/CFT). Excellent communicator, able to translate regulatory requirements to business units. Nimble and flexible; able to adapt to fast‑paced changes. Experience in compliance and risk processes. Organized, meticulous, and proactive. Keen to learn with a positive work attitude. Strong stakeholder management, enjoys working with people at all levels. Working Experience At least 4–6 years of risk and/or compliance roles, preferably within the financial adviser/insurance industry. Exposure to regulatory compliance, AML and risk management highly valued. Education Degree in any discipline. Prudential is an equal opportunity employer.
