Education required: BS or higher degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Biotechnology, or related Life Science.

Other requirements: Demonstrated skill and knowledge with analytical methods, equipment, process, software, cleaning, and facility/utility validation strategies and policy, protocol and report writing and execution.

Language requirement: Written and spoken fluency in English.

The MSAT Manufacturing Support team provides technical expertise to drive commercial manufacturing process improvements and support validation strategies in accordance with cGMP requirements. The role includes deviation investigations, process and equipment troubleshooting, CAPA management, change management of equipment/process/Incoming Materials, QMS gap analysis, risk assessment of technical topics, leading continuous improvement projects, and process optimization. You will validate/qualify systems used to develop and manufacture products within the manufacturing facility and ensure operations run to specifications and regulatory standards.

Direct coordination with other MPUs for knowledge sharing and supporting MSAT Product Stewardship and MSAT Technology Transfer teams in managing operational projects are also part of the role.

There is a 15-month local attachment with GSK as part of the Career Conversion Programme (CCP) for Advanced Biopharmaceuticals Manufacturing Executives/Professionals. Due to the programme, only Singapore Citizens and Singapore Permanent Residents will be considered. A certificate is awarded upon completion.

• Manufacturing operations, including management of technical deviations and CAPAs, investigations and troubleshooting of process and equipment issues
• Continuous improvement methods
• Audit preparation and management

• Environment, safety, health and wellness

• At least 3 years of experience in Engineering, pharmaceutical industry, or equivalent education preferred
• Familiarity with global validation/qualification requirements
• Good troubleshooting skills
• Knowledge of equipment used in vaccines manufacturing processes
• Experience with quality and process improvement methodologies and tools (Lean, Six Sigma, value stream mapping, FMEAs, DMAIC) is desired
• Lean/Sigma or Green Belt certification is a plus
• Strong communication, facilitation, negotiation, and teamwork skills
• Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication
• Adaptability to a fast-paced, dynamic environment with shifting demand
• Continuous improvement mindset
