About Yondr Yondr is a disruptor that challenges convention and simplifies complexity. We are a global developer, owner‑operator and service provider of data centers, delivering complex capacity solutions for the world’s largest tech companies. Our exponential growth fuels our vision of a tomorrow without constraints. About the Role You will be a member of the Design Management team for the APAC region, ensuring service level and quality consistency across vendors and consultants. Your responsibilities include promoting design accuracy, best practices, and continuous improvement within Yondr’s core D&C principles of “Less is More” and “Repeatable, Dependable, Predictable.” The role covers the full project lifecycle from early site/technical due diligence, master planning, technical governance, and ongoing design support through construction to meet long‑term portfolio targets. Key duties also involve supporting global product teams with APAC nuances, leading technical process development, and managing the quality and completeness of design deliverables to align with cost, schedule, and health & safety requirements. Main Responsibilities In conjunction with the Design Director APAC, liaise with global design leads across EMEA and the Americas to ensure design consistency, advising on regional nuances. Coordinate and collaborate with all APAC D&C team members and other Yondr APAC and global teams. Manage and assist in RFP processes and appointment of design consultants for all phases of delivery, from due diligence through to handover to operations. Support RFP processes and appointment of commissioning authority (CxA) consultants. Lead the APAC project design review process, coordinating internal stakeholders and aligning designs with Yondr Operations requirements. Evaluate and manage deliverables and overall performance of contractors, vendors, and suppliers for each project. Own the compilation, approval, and oversight of key design‑management processes and initiatives. Coordinate design releases, submissions, and approvals with the delivery programme, and manage model reviews, clash detection, and technical change communication. Develop and maintain relationships with design consultants, general/main contractors, and suppliers/vendors, focusing on BIM, prefabrication, modularisation, DfMA, etc. Monitor MEP statutory approvals and permitting activities, ensuring coordination with the overall project schedule. Understand and manage commercial aspects of design management, including estimates, change control, and out‑turn costs; present value engineering options as needed. Drive sustainability initiatives, ensuring low‑carbon designs, construction methods, and material choices. Integrate Yondr’s health, safety, environmental, and quality standards; implement Safety in Design (SiD) / Design for Safety (DfS). Audit design schedules/programmes, identify inconsistencies, and track close‑out of information‑required items. Support resolution of design‑related issues to prevent adverse impact on construction programmes. Accountable for design and technical due diligence for the Yondr acquisition program in APAC. Interface with internal discipline leads on site‑specific data centre masterplan and basis of design. Translate external customer requirements into Yondr’s standard design principles, feeding back into basis‑of‑design documents. Ensure MEP interfaces are coordinated to avoid scope gaps. Qualifications and Experience Degree in Architecture; Registered Architect or similar preferred. At least 10 years of post‑qualification experience in highly serviced buildings, with knowledge of the relationships between Architecture, Civil, Structural, Mechanical, Electrical, and ICT disciplines. Good working knowledge of other architectural building elements; exposure to civil, structural, and MEP works is advantageous.
