Overview

Product Designer - Monetization (12 months fixed term contract - renewable/convertible) at Goodnotes. You will join the Monetization and Growth team where design directly drives business outcomes across subscriptions, pricing, payments, onboarding and retention. The team is distributed across Europe and Asia with hubs in Hong Kong and London; remote and asynchronous work is standard, with closer collaboration if you are in Asian time zones.

About the role

We are looking for a product designer who thrives at the intersection of user experience and business growth. This role focuses on making Goodnotes more valuable and accessible to more people while keeping the experience trustworthy and on brand. You will own key parts of the monetization journey from onboarding through subscriptions, billing and retention. You will design flows that improve activation, conversion and retention, and you will help shape how we experiment, learn and scale what works. You will collaborate with product managers, data scientists, engineers and marketers to test bold ideas and ship improvements that move the needle.

Responsibilities
  • Design clear, user-centric flows that increase conversions and strengthen retention
  • Create design variations for experiments and run A/B tests to validate ideas
  • Translate funnel insights and behavioral data into high-quality design solutions
  • Spot UX friction and design solutions that balance user needs with business goals
  • Build patterns and scalable frameworks applicable across multiple flows
  • Partner with product, engineering, analytics and marketing to move quickly from idea to launch
  • Advocate for user trust through transparent and ethical design choices
Qualifications
  • 3+ years of product design experience on consumer or growth teams
  • Strong visual and interaction design craft with attention to detail
  • Experience designing end-to-end flows and collaborating cross-functionally
  • Curiosity about how design influences behavior and business metrics
  • Comfort with experimentation, iteration and learning from both successes and failures
  • Ability to frame insights and build narratives that align cross-functional teams
Nice to have
  • Experience working on growth initiatives such as activation, retention or monetization
  • Familiarity with subscriptions, payments or onboarding flows
  • Hands-on use of data tools such as Amplitude or Looker
  • Exposure to growth marketing and lifecycle tools such as Braze, Intercom or AppsFlyer
