Commissioning (Cx) Program Manager – APAC We are seeking an experienced Commissioning (Cx) Program Manager to lead the planning and execution of commissioning activities for our data centre development projects across the APAC region. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring all critical systems and infrastructure components are properly tested, validated, and operationally ready prior to handover. Key Responsibilities Assist in the development and implementation of the global commissioning program to meet the APAC regional requirements while maintaining consistent quality and compliance across data centre projects. Develop and implement comprehensive commissioning strategies and methodologies aligned with industry best practices and company standards. Lead the commissioning program across multiple data centre projects within the APAC region, coordinating activities between construction teams, vendors, and operations personnel. Demonstrated ability to recruit, develop, and lead high‑performing commissioning teams across multiple APAC countries, with a focus on building local technical capabilities while ensuring consistent standards and practices throughout the region. Experience evaluating and selecting qualified general contractors, specialty trades, and technical vendors across APAC markets, with demonstrated ability to assess technical capabilities, quality standards, and regional performance track records to support successful commissioning outcomes. Create and manage detailed commissioning schedules, ensuring integration with the overall project timeline. Oversee testing and validation of critical systems including power distribution, cooling, fire protection, security, and IT infrastructure. Review and approve commissioning plans, test scripts, and completion documentation. Identify and mitigate risks to successful commissioning completion and facility handover. Manage commissioning resources, including internal teams and third‑party vendors. Establish quality control processes to verify all systems meet basis of design and operational requirements. Facilitate knowledge transfer between project and operations teams. Report commissioning progress, issues, and resolutions to senior leadership. Drive continuous improvement of commissioning practices and procedures. Able to work independently and efficiently in a remote/hybrid capacity. Knowledge and Attributes Understanding of Project Management, Planning, Construction Management, and Data Centers. Demonstrated leadership ability in dealing with Owners, Architects, Contractors, and internal stakeholders. Extensive knowledge of prime contracts including lump sum, GMP (Guaranteed Maximum Price), hard bid, negotiated, design‑build, etc. – specifically including EVM methods and payment systems. Extensive knowledge of P6 Critical Path scheduling systems, overall project cost control, budgeting, and value engineering as applied to buildings and systems used in Data Center project delivery. Familiarity with all aspects of Development design and Construction – to include site work, core, and shell, mechanical and electrical, utilities, finishes, etc. Ability to work in an international team environment and interact with all levels of management, including C‑Suite reviews. Strong executive presence – able to convey complex and technical concepts to a non‑construction audience. Must be highly organized, analytical, and structured with excellent communication and problem‑solving skills. Manage stress and/or fast pace effectively. Fluent English communication skills (both written and verbal) are essential, as this role requires clear and effective coordination with international stakeholders and technical teams across the APAC region. Academic Qualifications and Certifications Bachelor's degree in mechanical, electrical engineering, or related technical field. Minimum Qualifications 8+ years of experience in commissioning data centres or similar mission‑critical facilities. Proven track record managing commissioning programs for large‑scale data centre projects in the APAC region. Deep understanding of data centre systems, including mechanical, electrical, fire protection, security, and BMS. Strong knowledge of industry standards and best practices (Uptime Institute, ASHRAE, TIA, etc.). Experience with commissioning tools, methodologies, and documentation systems. Excellent project management skills with ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Strong leadership skills with experience managing cross‑functional teams. Effective communication skills with ability to interface with technical and non‑technical stakeholders. Preferred Qualifications Professional engineering license or relevant certifications (PE, CxA, DCEP, etc.). PMP or similar project management certification. Experience with hyperscale data centre environments. Knowledge of local building codes and regulations across APAC markets. Experience with green building certifications (LEED, Green Mark, NABERS, etc.). Other Requirements Work at different time zones, mostly in APAC time zone. Travel extensively throughout the APAC region (approximately 25%).
