Summary
The Clinical Supply Solutions team of World Courier is focused on providing end to end clinical trial solutions for our customers. We don't specialize in any particular therapy - we support them all. Our customers range from small biotech / pharmaceutical start-ups to large pharmaceutical companies who focus on Research & Development and prefer to outsource supporting services for the execution of clinical trials across the globe.
The Sourcing Manager is primarily responsible for the successful sourcing of Comparator, Company Meditation and likes to drive competitive advantage and extract the best from strategic suppliers, mainly wholesalers and Direct To Patient pharmacies, including but not limited the region of China mainland.
Responsibilities
Strategic Sourcing:

• Overall responsibility for the current and future regional sourcing network
• Generate new supplier contracts and develop good and long-standing strategic supplier relationship with suppliers, develop trust with partners over time
• Negotiate competitive Supply Agreements and / or Purchasing Terms & Conditions, inclusive attractive prices and volume / cash discount
• Perform supplier benchmarking, satisfaction rating and any other analysis, Strengths Weaknesses Opporunities and Threats or other as appropriate together with the Comparator Sourcing team
  

Transactional Sourcing

• Be connected with overseas supplier to provide competitive offers for clients
• Being the primary back-up role of sourcing specialist
  

Communication with customers and Project management

• Support global comparator sourcing projects and take part in Transportation Cost and negotiation to ensure closure I win of proposals as needed
• In case of capacity issue in the Comparator team, take on a deputy function as needed and / or customer project
  

Quality and compliance

• Apply Global Distribution Practice / Good Practice in all areas of responsibility
• Product recall, support Quality Assurance and client in case of product recalls
• Supporting Quality Assurance to complete supplier qualification, annual audit and etc.
• Ensure compliance to all World Courier's rules and regulations as much from Quality Assurance, legal and finance. Support keep them meaningful and adapted to our changing environment
  

Reports Directly To
Director, Clinical Supply Solutions
Education

• Master's degree in Business or equivalent in healthcare administration is preferable
  

Experience

• Experienced in warehousing activities preferably linked to the healthcare industry
• At least 5 years clinical trials / health care related management experience
• Requires broad training in fields such as business administration, health care administration, accountancy, sales, marketing, computer sciences or similar vocations
  

Minimum Skills, Knowledge And Ability Requirements

• Understanding of Cencora policies, philosophy, goals and objectives in order to affect financial oversight in protecting the company's assets
• Understand clinical trial and 3PL operations and associate finances
• Ability to perform financial planning and budget preparation tasks, as needed
• Effective interpersonal skills: one-on-one and in groups
• Excellent writing, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and data management skills
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to follow and interpret profit and loss statements
• Ability to implement processes resulting in satisfactory audit practices
• Experienced in building personal collaborations, networks and teams inside and outside of the organization
• Strategic thinking skills; able to generate ideas and opportunities and turn them into successful results
• Strong customer-service orientation
• Able to adapt to change
• Exceptional organizational skills and ability to multi-task
• Demonstrated analytical and problem solving skills
• Ability to handle unexpected problems under pressure
• Working in a matrix environment where influencing skills are key.
• Able to represent the company in a variety of internal and external settings
