In-House Legal Consultant | Global Retail Operator Leader | Singapore opportunity

We are seeking a commercially sharp Legal Consultant to join our client, a multinational leader in the retail sector. Based in their Singapore office, you will be integral to the APAC team, responsible for delivering expert advice on a spectrum of legal and regulatory matters.

Your core responsibilities will involve spearheading the full lifecycle of key legal documents—from negotiation and drafting to final review. This includes a diverse portfolio of commercial contracts, procurement and service agreements, and tenancy agreements, as well as providing counsel on employment law. You will be tasked with proactively managing legal risk while supporting strategic business objectives, ensuring all agreements meet statutory and internal guidelines.

Furthermore, you will enhance corporate governance by developing compliance frameworks and keeping the business informed of evolving regulations in the retail landscape.

The Ideal Candidate Profile

  • A degree holder in Law or Business who has successfully navigated the complexities of the Retail or FMCG industry for 3-5 years, demonstrating a robust understanding of Travel Retail and Aviation regulations.
  • A Paralegal background with experience in Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR).
  • You possess a strong command of corporate law, commercial contracts, and regulatory compliance, including direct experience with tenancy agreements in the Asia Pacific.
  • An influential communicator and strategic decision-maker with a proven talent for managing complex stakeholder relationships and forging lasting partnerships.
  • Demonstrates a high degree of initiative and a positive mindset, with the proven ability to manage competing priorities and succeed in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment.
