Investment Banking Analyst

Overview The Investment Banking Analyst is an entry level position responsible for assisting clients in raising funds in the capital markets, as well as in providing corporate finance and strategic advisory services for mergers, acquisitions and other types of financial transactions. Responsibilities Work with senior Investment Banking officers and professionals and participate in client transactions, projects or assignments as the junior member of the Investment Banking team Understand accounting concepts, review and extract information from financial statements/filings, and incorporate it into financial analysis Prepare marketing materials, valuation and statistical exhibits for pitches and live deals Build efficient and accurate financial models/analyses Source market/industry/product information to conduct research independently Review and deliver work in a timely manner Communicate clearly, concisely, and professionally Manage across multiple projects, assignments and teams concurrently Work with the team to adhere to and track internal processes while building an understanding of internal policies and procedures Demonstrate ability to understand relevant legal documents Demonstrate interest in understanding and applying market/industry/product trends and knowledge to clients and projects Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency. Qualifications 2-5 years of relevant experience Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy, Finance or closely related areas of Business Administration Experience in evaluating corporate transactions and structures Experience creating financial analyses Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication skills Ability to work under pressure in a rapidly changing environment in order to meet deadlines Additional Information Job Family Group: Institutional Banking Job Family: Investment Banking Time Type: Full time Most Relevant Skills: Please see the requirements listed above.
