Canossaville Student Care (CSC) is an Integrated Student Care that serves students from the mainstream (majority) and special schools (minority). CSC gives priority to the most needy and disadvantaged families.Under the direction of the Executive Director, the SC Manager will lead a team of educators and administrative staff to uphold the Mission and work in partnership with the other sectors (CCCS, CCDU, CPS, CCPS, CS, CC) to serve the holistic needs of the children and families.He/She will serve as an experienced role model to guide, mentor, and empower the Student Care team all while creating a positive work and team culture where members strive together to provide the highest standards of care for our students and their families.Critical Work Functions Strategic Support Work closely with the Executive Director to oversee the implementation of strategic Focus Areas and review progress Lead and plan for monthly contact time meetings People Management Support the implementation of the overall strategic direction to achieve the CSC strategic focus areas, ensuring team alignment to the Canossian Mission Lead, manage, nurture and develop the personal growth opportunities of staff, whilst ensuring that the working environment is safe and encouraging Drive staff bonding initiatives/activities as part of staff engagement and to motivate the team Establish a culture of teamwork and collaboration within Student Services, to facilitate the sharing of good practices between staff Administration Oversee the administration and management of SC-related matters and processes including but not limited to enrolment, withdrawal and fee-related matters Financial Management and Governance Ensure accountability for all SC-related administration Work closely with all relevant stakeholders on financial and compliance related matters Oversee the Student Care to ensure smooth and successful completion of all audits Service Quality Establish and maintain good interpersonal relations with relevant stakeholders Ensure service quality through management of feedback and queries from relevant stakeholders Establish excellent standards of quality care across Student Care and continuously improve the quality of service Student and Parent Management Provide guidance and support to the Student Care Team in student and parent management Be accountable for the health, safety, and overall well-being of all students Manage the investigation process of student incidents Serve as the ultimate point of escalation for parent grievances and student issues Prepare all communications with parents on SC-related matters Develop plans to enhance caregiver engagement Programme Management Ensure that core programmes are delivered with fidelity and with regularity Collaborate with Volunteer Management (VM) & Outreach for volunteers and programmes Collaborate with the Estate Manager for safety and facilities management Resource Management Manage the annual budgeting process to ensure sustainability of CSC services Ensure the effective use of all resources including but not limited to budget, manpower and SC spaces Ensure that his/her Student Care Team are equipped with required resources / tools to work effectively Systems Development Develop, review and enhance standard operating procedures and workflows for the sector Ensure communication of and adherence to department-related processes, workflows and SOPs Maintain timely and accurate documentation and records Education and Experience Minimum a Diploma in any discipline - It will be an advantage should one have the Diploma in Care and Programme (Student Services and Coaching) Completion of WSQ Introductory Student Care Course offered by Ngee Ann Polytechnic Supervisory experience in a school-based Student Care Centre (Minimum of 5 years) Experience working with children between the ages of 7 to 14 Technical Skills and Competencies Capacity to work effectively in response to work demands (responding to client needs in different circumstances including critical incidents) Able to lead a team to deliver quality services to students, individuals and families Effective problem-solving and conflict resolution skills, when dealing with different stakeholders Possess ability to apply critical thinking skills (observation, planning, analysis, review) to the workplace Display strong organisational and time management skills to effectively plan and coordinate activities Generic Skills and competencies Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills Ability to collaborate, build and maintain strong relationships with different stakeholders Ability to create a positive work culture where members strive together for the highest standards of care Ability to adapt to change and a willingness to embrace new strategies and ways of working Take initiative and adapt to changing needs, fostering a flexible and proactive approach Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented and multi-disciplinary environment Ability to multi-task and prioritise responsibilities Demonstrate a passion for working with children and promoting their overall well-being and development Exhibit patience, empathy, and understanding towards students and their unique needs
