JOB RESPONSIBILITIES Provide overall leadership and direction to ensure smooth, safe, and efficient day-to-day workshop operations. Plan and manage manpower, workload distribution, and resource allocation to meet operational targets and deadlines. Ensure all workshop activities comply with company procedures, safety regulations, and quality standards. Lead, guide, and develop team members to maintain high performance, accountability, and teamwork. Maintain proper documentation and traceability of all work processes, materials, and equipment usage. Oversee the maintenance, calibration, and readiness of workshop machines, tools, and consumables. Develop, review, and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs), training plans, and improvement initiatives. Monitor department expenses, inventory, and support annual budgeting and cost control efforts. Foster a culture of safety, quality, and collaboration through effective communication across departments. Identify opportunities for process improvement and lead initiatives to enhance productivity, quality, and operational excellence. KNOWLEDGE and EXPERIENCE Diploma or Degree in Precision, Mechanical, Industrial Engineering or any related field. Minimum 5 years of supervisory or managerial experience in machining or workshop operations. Strong knowledge of machining processes (milling, turning, wire EDM) and workshop safety. Proficient in interpreting mechanical drawings and developing machining process plans. Familiarity with metal processing techniques such as welding, cutting, and heat treatment. Excellent communication, organizational, and stakeholder-management skills. Proficient in MS Office and fluent in English, Malay and Mandarin (mandatory) for effective team communication.
