Overview

Senior Associate / Assistant Manager, Market Development – part of the Market Development team responsible for growing Changi’s aviation business, enhancing competitiveness and attractiveness as the air hub of choice in the region. The team works with airlines, industry trade partners and relevant stakeholders to strengthen passenger traffic and air connectivity through new service launches, expanding existing services, and initiatives to increase traffic to and through the airport.

You will be assigned a portfolio of airlines from the Southwest Pacific region (Australia, New Zealand and the Pacific Islands). You will engage and collaborate with these airlines to grow the Changi air hub and identify new airline opportunities. You may also engage with government agencies to promote traffic and connectivity growth at Changi. Responsibilities include traffic analysis, preparing and presenting business cases to airlines, staying informed on market trends, and analysing implications for Changi’s hub growth. You will also work with partners in aviation (airlines, travel trade, national tourism organisations) to roll out joint campaigns promoting Changi as the preferred transfer hub and to influence travel through the airport. Partnering with internal divisions and external stakeholders to drive development and ensure smooth implementation of initiatives is intrinsic to the role. You may be involved in other projects as opportunities arise.

Responsibilities
  • Engage and collaborate with airlines in the Southwest Pacific region to grow Changi’s air hub, identify new airline opportunities, and promote traffic growth.
  • Perform traffic analysis, prepare and present business cases to airlines, and monitor emerging market trends and their impact on Changi’s hub development.
  • Work with aviation partners (airlines, travel trade, NTOs) to plan and execute joint campaigns to position Changi as the preferred transfer hub and to influence travel through the airport.
  • Partner with internal divisions and external stakeholders to drive development initiatives and ensure smooth implementation; participate in other projects as opportunities arise.
Requirements
  • Good Degree in any discipline
  • Prior working experience with airlines or in the aviation sector, and experience in quantitative analysis is preferred
  • Self-motivated, resourceful, analytical, meticulous and a strong team player
  • Excellent verbal, written communication and presentation skills
  • Proficiency in Chinese language is required as the incumbent may liaise with overseas Chinese carriers and travel trade partners
  • Some overseas travelling may be required
