Redstone Commodity Search are working with a growing hedge fund looking to hire a proprietary futures trader, with a focus on base metals / some exposure to base metals, to be located in Singapore. Key Responsibilities Develop and implement trading strategies in the base metals markets, including cross-market and regional arbitrage (e.g. China vs international flows). Manage futures arbitrage opportunities across both precious and base metals, covering products such as gold, silver, copper, aluminium, zinc, nickel, lead and tin. Monitor and consolidate position holdings, analyse exposures and provide accurate reporting on P&L, balances and performance. Conduct in-depth industry research, tracking market developments and delivering high-quality reports on sector trends. Identify and capture profitable investment opportunities through data-driven market insight and analysis. Qualifications 3–5 years of direct trading experience within futures or commodities, with proven expertise in arbitrage strategies and a strong P&L track record. Sharp market intuition combined with strong organisational, planning and analytical abilities. Excellent execution skills with clear, confident communication and the ability to coordinate effectively with colleagues and stakeholders. A proactive mindset with resilience under pressure and the ability to work collaboratively in fast-paced environments. Bachelor’s degree or higher in economics, finance, mathematics, statistics, engineering or related disciplines.
