Product Manager Surfactants

We are currently looking for a strategically sound and commercially driven: Product Manager Surfactants In this role you will manage the assigned product portfolio with respect to profit & loss performance and execute the business strategy to ensure profitability and volume targets are reached. You will be part of a bigger commercial department with colleagues in various countries in Europe. The position is in Rotterdam, and you will be reporting to the Business Unit Head Derivatives & Surfactants. Main responsibilities Execute the business plan for the assigned portfolio as agreed with the General Manager Set sales price levels in agreement with management and communicate to account managers Buy and sell products within the assigned product portfolio Report daily positions, traded volumes, realised and unrealised financial results, update product(s) portfolio and any market changes to management Follow raw material markets, currency, and political changes Develop new markets and inform management on market developments Understand future market trends and inform management on potential strategy in capturing trends Maintain relationship with suppliers and tolling partners Maintain commercial relationships with key account(s) and identify potential synergy Optimise product mix and profitability Ensure agreed volumes and pricing of goods delivered to customers are in line with frame contracts Contribute to logistics and planning for assigned product portfolio Monitor call-offs and payments Monitor service levels/customer complaints/non-conformances Participate on request in projects such as tolling, expansions, mergers, acquisitions, divestures etc. for the assigned product portfolio Ensure conformity to company policies and certification schemes in place. We are looking for a candidate with Bachelor’s or master’s degree in economics, Business Administration, International Business, Chemical Engineering, Agricultural Science or another related field Excellent verbal and written communication in English and other languages are highly advantageous A minimum of 5 years B2B experience in surfactants product management Management experience In depth knowledge of raw materials, commodities, and trading according to the Wilmar standard, as well as knowledge of the European and global surfactant industry Knowledge of applications such as home & personal care, industrial Well-developed skills in SAP and MS Office (especially Excel), demand planning and CRM software More about Wilmar Europe Wilmar Europe Oleochemicals & Biofuels in Rotterdam is part of Wilmar International.
