As a QC Supervisor , you will be responsible to manage and lead a team of QC Lab associates from Finished Production Inspection team to perform inspection and testing of products to meet quality standard according to established Standard Operating Practices (SOP), as well as any applicable federal regulations or industry standards In this role, a typical day will include: Monitoring of Product Quality ComplianceComplies with Quality and HSE procedures when carry out sampling, QC tests and releaseEstablish Standard Operating Procedures and conditions for handling, storage, and preservation of samples for testingIssue, conduct NCR and OOS investigation as a certified investigator, identify root cause and determine appropriate CAPA. Ensure all TW records are closed timely.Analyse testing results and the frequency and severity of product defects and quality lapsesApprove testing documentation and test recordsGuide testing activities to ensure correct testing procedures, conditions and processes are used Manage Laboratory OperationsMaintain integrity, accuracy and completeness of QC data and recordsMeet quality objectives set by management & comply to Alcon, QMS and Safety requirementsProvide direction and supervision to direct reports. Conduct career dialogue and follow up on individual’s development plan. Ensure backups for all roles and responsibilitiesPlan, lead and control all quality inspection and testing activities are executed in compliant to local SOP, Alcon Corporate standards, and regulatory requirementsTrend, analyze and monitor key performance indicators to ensure operational effectiveness and execute improvement opportunities to improve performance and efficiencyImplement changes which includes GCM change request, SOP revision, impact assessment and go live planLead and execute continuous improvement initiatives to improve productivity, efficiency, and cost optimizationSupport internal and external audits and is responsible for audit finding closure, as requiredWork with cross-functional teams to ensure operations continuity Perform other duties as assigned by QC lab Manager Ensure Quality and HSE compliance as per Alcon guidelines:Complies with all policies and standardsEnsure zero HSE incidentsAct as Support Auditor for cross functional audit as required WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO ALCON: Degree in Chemistry or any other related science or Engineering field Min 8 years of experience in a quality control lab in a pharma/ medical industry Supervisory experience in overseeing a team of technicians/ inspectors Transport provided from Boon Lay, Outram Park and Kranji MRT HOW YOU CAN THRIVE AT ALCON: Career Growth & Development – Gain access to continuous learning opportunities, leadership training, and career advancement programs to support your professional journey.
