Overview

We are looking for a PR Associate with a deep understanding of Singapore's media landscape, strong media relationships, and a passion for crafting compelling narratives. This role requires an individual with the creativity to drive impactful campaigns and the strategic mindset to manage brand reputation and media engagement effectively.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute creative, earned-led communications strategies to elevate the Shopee brand. Conceptualise engaging, on-brand narratives that resonate with diverse audiences and align with business objectives
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to drive successful integrated campaigns, ensuring PR efforts complement marketing and social initiatives for maximum impact
  • Act as a brand custodian by deploying defensive communication strategies to safeguard Shopee's reputation, mitigate risks, and manage crises effectively
  • Build, foster, and maintain strong relationships with key journalists, media outlets, and industry KOLs to enhance Shopee's presence and credibility within Singapore's media ecosystem
  • Monitor, analyse, and report PR metrics to demonstrate the ROI, impact, and efficiency of campaigns, while providing actionable insights for improvement
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or a related field
  • 0 - 2 years of relevant experience in PR or communications (in-house or agency), open to fresh graduates
  • Proven track record in media relations with an established network of media contacts in Singapore
  • Strong oral and written communication skills with the ability to adapt messaging for different audiences, platforms, and media channels
  • Experience in crisis communications and reputation management is a strong advantage
  • Excellent project management skills, attention to detail, and ability to juggle multiple priorities in a dynamic environment
  • Proactive, creative, and solutions-driven mindset, with the ability to think strategically and execute effectively
