You will be joining Evolv Clothing Company as an Assistant Manager in the Merchandising & Business Development Department at the Corporate Office located in Perungudi. Reporting to the Vice President Marketing, your primary responsibility will be to oversee merchandising operations and drive business growth in the garment manufacturing sector.Your key responsibilities will include identifying and developing new business opportunities, expanding the client base, building strong relationships with buyers, brands, and retailers, analyzing market trends, leading sales pitches and negotiations, and developing strategies for market expansion and brand positioning.You will be responsible for managing the entire merchandising process for new brands, working closely with design and production teams, ensuring timely sample development and bulk production execution, negotiating pricing with suppliers, and coordinating supply chain activities to meet delivery deadlines.In addition, you will be involved in financial and performance management by developing sales forecasts, monitoring budgets and profitability margins, and tracking key performance indicators related to merchandising and sales.To qualify for this role, you should have a Bachelor's degree in Business, Merchandising, Fashion Management, or a related field. An MBA would be a plus. A minimum of 8-10+ years of experience in merchandising, sales, or business development in the garment manufacturing industry is required. Strong knowledge of fabric, trims, garment construction, and production processes is essential, along with proven sales track record and excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.Proficiency in MS Office, ERP/Merchandising software, and familiarity with SAP is preferred.
