ResponsibilitiesAbout the Team: The Datacenter Infrastructure Engineering team supports the company's growth by building and operating hyperscale datacenters. The team manages the entire lifecycle of the server fleet, providing cloud solutions and infrastructure services that are scalable and reliable.
About the Role: We seek candidates with strong data center facility construction and commissioning backgrounds, passionate about engineering excellence and sustainable solutions. You should understand the challenges of deploying infrastructure at scale and have experience designing systems that set global standards for performance, availability, security, and cost. Your work will influence processes worldwide.
Responsibilities- Collaborate with design, delivery, and commissioning teams to ensure facility construction and commissioning meet operational requirements.
- Review data center MEP designs for new builds and data hall fit-outs, providing operational feedback.
- Audit and review colocation partners' data center plans, collaborating as needed.
- Participate in construction QA/QC, providing feedback to internal stakeholders.
- Participate in testing and commissioning reviews to verify design intent.
- Support tracking of quality issues, providing regular reports.
- Maintain positive relationships with partner teams, vendors, and internal customers.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Diploma or Professional Certification in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, with over 3 years of relevant experience.
- Knowledge of power and cooling calculations per standards like TIA-942, ASHRAE.
- Experience with power redundancy design (2N, N+1).
- Understanding of cooling redundancy and maintainability (N+1, N+2).
- Experience supervising construction and managing testing teams for data hall fit-outs.
- Experience with electrical/mechanical systems like generators, chillers, UPS, etc.
- Strong communication skills with attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Ability to prioritize and organize in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience engaging with vendors, projects, or programs.
- Good judgment and risk management skills.
