What You Will Do
  • Project management and delivery support within mechanical engineering
  • Governance of mechanical engineering standards across ASEAN projects
  • Contribute to design processes, project engineering management, and commissioning from a mechanical perspective
  • Develop mechanical equipment strategy and standardization across the ASEAN region to improve scalability and optimize resources
  • Ensure all OEM equipment and engineering quality meet Mechanical Engineering standards and support local regulatory compliance
  • Resource management including capability uplift in country
  • End-to-end talent management of the Mechanical Engineering skill pool
  • Safety – zero harm
What You Will Need Required Qualifications and Experience
  • Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering with 10+ years of professional experience
  • Proven experience in mechanical equipment design and manufacturing with ability to design, analyze and implement strategic upgrades for heavy metal industry
  • Experience in mechanical design concepts for machine design, hydraulics, bearing applications and selection, material selection, gearboxes and transmission systems
  • Knowledge of mechanical design standards, design software such as AutoCAD, 3D design, FEA, and awareness of international standards
  • Strong oral, written, and presentation skills on technical and non-technical topics to audiences across all levels
  • Effective facilitator and coach
  • Proficiency in English
Preferred Qualifications And Experience
  • Desirable experience in mechanical equipment design and manufacturing for Cold Rolling Mills, Strip Processing Line / Color Paint Line / Furnaces
  • Experience on capital projects front-end loading and project execution phases
  • Experience on erection and commissioning of heavy mechanical equipment
  • Demonstrated effective change leadership across a global, multicultural organization
