Position: Head of Operations (Data Centre) Number of Openings: 1 Job Responsibilities: Oversee the daily operations of the data centre to ensure optimal uptime and performance. Develop and implement operational strategies that align with company objectives. Lead a team of data centre staff, including recruitment, training, and performance management. Manage relationships with vendors and service providers for hardware, software, and maintenance. Establish and enforce policies and procedures for data centre operations, including security protocols. Monitor data centre performance metrics to improve operational efficiency and service delivery. Coordinate disaster recovery and business continuity planning efforts. Ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards related to data centre infrastructure. Conduct regular reviews and audits of data centre processes to identify areas for improvement. Prepare and manage the operational budget for the data centre, ensuring cost-effectiveness. Essential Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field. Strong understanding of data centre operations, including cooling, power distribution, and equipment management. Excellent leadership and team management skills. Ability to think strategically and execute operational plans effectively. Exceptional problem-solving skills and an analytical mindset. Proficient in data centre management tools and technologies. Desired Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in data centre operations, with at least 2 years in a managerial role. Experience with cloud service providers and virtualized environments preferred. Demonstrated ability to lead and manage complex projects. Solid understanding of network infrastructures and cybersecurity practices. Prior experience in budgeting and financial management within an operations context.
