WIP Accountant

Responsibilities Manage group consolidation for subsidiary ensuring accurate and timely financial consolidation. Oversee financial reporting, including quarterly reports, ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards. Handle GST filings and tax compliance matters in a timely and accurate manner. Collaborate and liaise with internal departments on Work-in-Progress (WIP) matters to ensure accurate project costing and revenue recognition. Coordinate with auditors, tax agents, and other external parties on statutory filings, audits, and tax matters. Utilize Microsoft Dynamics 365 for day-to-day accounting and reporting activities. Leverage Jet Reports to automate reporting processes from Business Central into financial statements. Ensure strong internal controls, accounting accuracy, and process improvements. Support ad hoc finance projects and ensure alignment with company goals and compliance standards. Requirements Bachelor Degree in Accounting or ACCA qualification. At least 5 to 10 years of relevant accounting and finance experience. Strong hands‑on experience in group consolidation, financial reporting, and tax matters. Proficiency in Microsoft Dynamics 365. Experience with Jet Reports is an added advantage. Solid understanding and practical experience with WIP accounting. Background in the engineering or construction industry is preferred. Excellent communication and coordination skills to manage cross‑functional collaboration. Detail‑oriented with a strong foundation in accounting principles and financial controls.
