Minimum qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 2 years of experience with data structures or algorithms in an academic or industry setting.
  • Experience with Android application development.
  • Experience with AI Platforms.
Preferred qualifications:
  • Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or a related technical field.
  • 2 years of experience with performance, systems data analysis, visualization tools, or debugging.
  • Experience with Generative AI/Gemini.
  • Experience with image processing, computer vision, or machine learning applications.

In this role, you will manage project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables. You will design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and enhance software solutions.

Android, powering over 3 billion devices worldwide, is Google’s open-source mobile OS. It aims to bring computing to everyone, enabling access to information, economic opportunity, productivity, and connectivity. We provide a platform for OEMs and developers to create compelling devices and apps for everyone.

Responsibilities
  • Investigate, design, and implement solutions to bring Google AI to different Android surfaces.
  • Review code developed by other engineers and provide feedback to ensure best practices.
  • Contribute to documentation and educational content, updating based on product changes and user feedback.
  • Triage product or system issues, debug, and resolve problems affecting hardware, network, or service quality.
  • Lead design reviews with peers and stakeholders to select appropriate technologies.
