About the company A leading bank-backed insurance company is seeking a Senior Executive, Credit Control to join their dynamic Finance Operations team. This is a newly created position that offers a unique opportunity to shape and streamline our credit control processes. About the job Manage and lead all aspects of accounts receivable and credit control operations. Develop and implement effective credit policies and procedures to minimize risk and improve cash flow. Monitor and analyze overdue accounts, ensuring timely collection and resolution of payment issues. Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including underwriting and sales teams, to resolve complex billing and payment disputes. Generate detailed reports on credit control performance, providing key insights to management. Contribute to process improvements and system enhancements within the finance operations function. Skills and experience required At least 4-5 years of hands‑on experience in credit control or a similar accounts receivable management role. A strong background in the insurance or financial services sector, giving you a solid understanding of the industry's unique challenges and regulations. Proactive problem‑solver with excellent communication and negotiation skills. Proven track record of successfully managing a portfolio of accounts and improving collection rates. Strong team player who is comfortable working with various departments to achieve common goals. Experience with relevant accounting software and advanced Excel skills is a plus.
