This role is for the Director - Global Threat Hunting at Robert Walters for a permanent placement with a client in the financial services sector.

Responsibilities- Lead and manage the Global Threat Hunting Centre operations, ensuring intel-led, continuous and effective threat hunting to enable timely detection of security threats across the Bank.
- Implement detection-as-code as the core tenet of the Threat Hunting program. Build detection engineering capabilities with automated pipelines to accelerate and expand coverage across IT assets and environments, both on-premise and in the cloud.
- Design and implement a data, telemetry and log collection platform that provides a unified global view for threat hunting across various regions.
- Manage and mentor a team of threat hunters, detection engineers and platform engineers; establish talent development programs and foster a collaborative, innovative team environment.
- Work with Regional Leads to mature Threat Hunting and Detection Engineering practices, including using AI/ML to enhance hunting and detection capabilities.
- Provide executive-level reporting on program maturity, hunting results and security posture to Head Office and APAC management; develop global metrics and QA to measure effectiveness.
- Participate in global cybersecurity governance and planning forums to influence the direction of the global cybersecurity program.
- Promote continuous education to keep the team updated on the latest threats, techniques, and procedures; lead a global team spanning multiple time zones and jurisdictions.
- Collaborate with Global SOC, Threat Intelligence and Incident Response to ensure effective responses to global incidents and with technology Infrastructure on engineering initiatives.
- Minimum 12 years in threat hunting, digital forensics and incident response, with experience in Threat Hunting frameworks such as PEAK and TAHITI.
- Experience with Sigma rules, SIEM, ELK, and data pipelines/storage architecture.
- Security certifications such as SANS Advanced Incident Response, Threat Hunting and Digital Forensics.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field.
- Strong leadership skills with experience managing a global team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration with stakeholders at all levels.
