Job Title: Origination Manager - Alternative Investment Fund (AIF)

Location: Mumbai

Job Objective

My client is seeking a Product Manager to join its investments arm Products team. The primary responsibility will be supporting the company's investment objectives by scaling its current product offerings to investors.

Responsibilities
  1. Planning, designing, and setting up new AIFs, including supporting the current team with:
  2. Ideation of innovative products based on detailed research of products, instruments, and structures, including analysis of competing funds, industry trends, new fund launches, mutual funds, and benchmarking products.
  3. Liaising with counterparties and proposed counterparties for fund setup and management.
  4. Designing fund models alongside the product team and fund managers.
  5. Providing research support on offshore jurisdictions for suitable structures for international investors.
  6. Coordinating with legal counsel and company secretary on regulatory and compliance matters both onshore and offshore.
  7. Developing a comprehensive understanding of the company's managed products, including regulations, tax implications, Excel modeling, documentation, and rationale, while managing daily requirements.
  8. Supporting negotiations on documentation with potential investors and addressing investor queries with the investor relations team to facilitate transactions.
  9. Managing daily operational activities and reporting related to funds and investor requirements.
  10. Assessing investor appetite for new asset classes and products.
Minimum Requirements

6 to 12 years of relevant experience in Mutual Funds or Asset Management Companies.
