Singlife is also an official signatory of the United Nations Principles for Sustainable Insurance and the United Nations-supported Principles for Responsible Investment, affirming its commitment to sustainability.

The merger of Aviva Singapore and Singlife was announced in September 2020, creating one of the largest homegrown financial services companies in Singapore in a deal valued at S$3.2 billion. It was the largest insurance deal in Singapore at the time. Singlife was subsequently acquired by Sumitomo Life in March 2024, valued at S$4.6 billion, making it one of the largest insurance deals in Southeast Asia.

Responsibilities
  • Implement and maintain data governance policies and standards across business units.
  • Develop and manage enterprise data models, metadata, and lineage documentation.
  • Perform data profiling, quality checks, and ensure compliance with data management protocols.
  • Automate data workflows and support integration of GenAI for modeling and operational efficiency.
  • Design and optimize scalable AI/ML pipelines and infrastructure using modern tools and frameworks.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and deliver AI-driven solutions for business problems.
  • Support MLOps and LLMOps practices including model deployment, monitoring, and lifecycle management.
  • Mentor junior analysts and data scientists on data governance and engineering best practices.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • 5-7 years of experience in data governance, data management, or GenAI solutions.
  • Proficiency in SQL, Python, and cloud platforms such as AWS or Oracle Cloud.
  • Experience with metadata tools, Snowflake, Airflow, and data quality frameworks.
  • Strong understanding of transformer architectures and GenAI frameworks.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
