Mechanical Engineer at Unilever (The Magnum Ice Cream Company). Location: Tekirdağ – Çorlu. Reports to: Engineering Manager. Terms: Full Time – No relocation assisted.

What You Will Do / Responsibilities
  • Manage the Repair and Maintenance team and Engineering team in a fast-paced FMCG factory.
  • Lead maintenance activities to ensure safety, compliance, and quality standards.
  • Drive preventive and corrective maintenance programs to improve equipment reliability.
  • Oversee maintenance contracts, third-party services, and contractors, ensuring performance and cost efficiency.
  • Oversee CMMS usage for work orders, data entry, and performance reporting.
  • Perform root cause analysis on equipment failures and implement corrective actions.
  • Lead and develop the engineering team, fostering collaboration and continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with project engineers and utilities team on ongoing and new projects.
  • Ensure safe operating procedures and compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Plan and manage maintenance-related budgets and spare parts inventory.
  • Provide technical support to production operators and maintenance personnel, including on-call duties as required.
  • Lead audits and risk assessments; manage changes within the engineering team.
  • Plan shift coverage to ensure maintenance activities are supported.
What You Need to Succeed / Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or related engineering field.
  • Minimum 5 years of maintenance and reliability management experience, ideally in a multinational FMCG/manufacturing environment.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience with CMMS and maintenance planning tools; knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems used in FMCG production (hydraulics, pneumatics, packaging machines, conveyors).
  • English proficiency, ability to interact with management at all levels.
  • Advanced MS Office skills; familiarity with technical drawings and AutoCAD.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team; adaptability to a fast-paced, 24/7 production environment.
  • Willingness to reside in Corlu or relocate as needed.
