Overview Senior Manager, Risk Management, Asia at Allianz Asia Pacific Role description and responsibilities are focused on supporting the regional office and Operating Entities (OEs) to achieve goals from the risk management perspective by managing the Risk & Capital at the OEs in the region. What You Do Oversee the coverage of the regional Life & Health (L&H) insurance companies in all Risk Management related matters and serve as the main contact point for the local risk management function Lead the design, development, implementation and monitoring of risk management systems, methodologies, models, and governance for L&H insurance companies across the region Asset-and Liability Management for L&H insurance companies Coordinate Solvency II implementation across the region Monitor Life new business mix and products and related Risk KPIs; provide solutions to any risk-related issues in new business monitoring or new product development Provide trainings to local risk management teams as required What You Bring Strong understanding of Life insurance from risk, financial, actuarial, product and operational perspectives Extensive experience in ALM, market, credit, business and biometric risk management, including various quantitative risk measures Understanding of Asian regulatory environments and familiarity with Solvency II 7+ years of experience in Life Insurance business in Asia Relevant university degree and professional qualifications (e.g. FRM, CFA, Actuarial) Fluent in English, Chinese Strong analytical and conceptual skills Excellent communication and very strong stakeholder management abilities Strong team player with good interpersonal and relationship-building skills Project management skills and prior experience Interest to learn Asian regulatory requirements and Allianz Corporate rules; coordination of S2 standard model implementation or transition to S2 internal model at some Life & Health entities in Asia AI-future skills (e.g., ChatGPT and Copilot) are an advantage What We Offer We are one of the World’s Best Workplaces (Singapore 2024) & Great Place to Work Open-minded, supportive team focused on customer outcomes A sense of belonging and welcoming environment for authentic self-expression Hybrid work and flexible & remote work options Access to LinkedIn Learning and Degreed for continuous learning and career development Robust health and well-being benefits Financial wellness initiatives through discounted Allianz insurance products, pension contributions and referral bonus scheme Opportunity to participate in the Employee Share Purchase Program We at Allianz believe in a strong inclusive culture that encourages people to speak their minds, get involved and question the status quo.
