Overview Public Affairs Consultant role focused on monitoring key political and regulatory agendas in the Asia-Pacific region, with responsibility for strategic recommendations and risk mitigation to protect the brand and business operations. Purpose of the role The Public Affairs Consultant helps track major political and regulatory issues in the Asia-Pacific region that may impact the brand. The role also develops strategic recommendations and risk mitigation strategies to protect the brand and its ability to do business. Key Responsibilities and Tasks Monitoring of new and emerging regulatory risks across the Asia-Pacific region, including industry trends Utilize subscriptions (e.g., FIA) to share up-to-date knowledge Identify additional platforms or groups to support keeping the client updated Focus on issues related to Health & Nutrition, Tax & Trade, Sustainability and Corporate Communications Prepare monthly reports: provide concise, relevant reporting to the region, including presenting notes Develop and adapt templates as required, suggesting formatting tweaks Present reports to the Regional Director for discussion and analysis Identify risk mitigation strategies: use analysis to map and mitigate risk for the brand Propose proactive and reactive approaches to safeguard the company, presented in requested formats About You At least 15 years of experience in public affairs or corporate communications, ideally in the food and beverage sector Proven experience in regulatory and sustainability fields Background in program management Extensive knowledge and experience working in the Asia-Pacific region Team player with the ability to influence and build strong relationships Calm under pressure with the ability to meet tight deadlines TEAM LEWIS is an Equal Opportunity Employer committed to equality, empowerment, and respect.
