Roles & Responsibilities Job Purpose We are seeking a skilled Azure Support & Administrator to manage, optimize, and secure our cloud infrastructure within the Microsoft Azure ecosystem. The ideal candidate will have hands‑on experience in cloud management, networking, security, and automation, ensuring seamless operation and high availability of Azure‑based services. Key Responsibilities 1. Managing Azure Subscriptions and Resources Oversee the allocation and management of Azure subscriptions, ensuring resources are utilized efficiently and aligned with organizational policies. Implement resource tagging and resource groups to organize and manage assets effectively, facilitating cost management and operational efficiency. Monitor resource usage and implement governance policies, help prevent resource sprawl and optimize costs. Ensure that the organization's Azure environment is structured, compliant, and cost‑effective. 2. Implementing and Managing Storage Solutions Design and implement storage solutions that meet the organization's data retention, performance, and security requirements. Configure Azure Blob Storage, File Shares, and manage storage accounts. Implement data replication and backup strategies to ensure data durability and disaster recovery readiness. Manage storage access policies and monitor storage performance. Ensure data is both secure and readily accessible. 3. Configuring and Managing Virtual Networks Design and manage virtual networks (VNets) to ensure secure and efficient communication between Azure resources. Configure subnets, network security groups, and routing to control traffic flow and protect resources from unauthorized access. Implement VPNs and ExpressRoute connections, enabling secure hybrid cloud connectivity. Ensure that the network infrastructure supports the organization's operational needs while maintaining security and compliance. 4. Managing Identities and Access Administer Azure Active Directory (AAD) to manage user identities and control access to resources. Configure user and group accounts, implement role‑based access control (RBAC), and set up multi‑factor authentication (MFA) to enhance security. Help safeguard the organization's assets against unauthorized access. Maintain a secure and compliant identity management framework, potentially strengthened by integrating NAC solutions to control device and user access at the network perimeter. 5. Deploying and Managing Azure Compute Resources Deploy and manage virtual machines (VMs), containers, and app services to support business applications. Select appropriate VM sizes, configure scaling options, and implement high‑availability solutions to ensure performance and reliability. Automate deployments using tools like Azure Resource Manager (ARM) templates and Azure DevOps. Streamline operations and reduce manual intervention. Ensure that compute resources are provisioned efficiently, aligning with the organization's workload requirements. 6. Monitoring and Maintaining Azure Resources Utilize Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Application Insights to track the performance and health of resources. Set up alerts and dashboards, proactively identifying and resolving issues before they impact users. Analyze logs to gain insights into system behavior and optimize resource performance. Ensure that the Azure environment remains stable, performant, and aligned with service level agreements (SLAs). Qualifications and Requirements Education & Certification Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field. Microsoft 365 Certified: Fundamentals (MS‑900) Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate (AZ‑104) Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals (AZ‑900) Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate (MD‑100 / MD‑101) Microsoft Certified: Security, Compliance, and Identity Fundamentals (SC‑900) Microsoft Certified: Azure Security Engineer Associate (AZ‑500) Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert Skills & Qualifications Azure Expertise Proficient in Azure VMs, Azure AD, Virtual Networks, and Storage services. Networking & Security Strong understanding of VPNs, NSGs, firewalls, and Azure Security Center. Automation & Scripting Experience with PowerShell, Azure CLI, ARM templates, or Terraform. Monitoring & Troubleshooting Skilled in using Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Application Insights. Compliance & Governance Familiar with Azure Policy, RBAC, and standards such as ISO 27001 and GDPR. Communication Able to explain technical concepts clearly and work collaboratively with cross‑functional teams. Experience Minimum of 3 years in cloud administration, preferably within Microsoft Azure environments. Soft Skills Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem‑solving abilities. Critical thinking to spot issues and devise smart solutions. Attentive to detail to ensure comprehensive consideration for better results. Strong communication and negotiation skills to manage contracts confidently. Ability to work collaboratively in a fast‑paced environment. Time‑management skills to meet deadlines under pressure.
