Overview Sharepoint Development Manager LPS is seeking a highly skilled and experienced SharePoint Development Manager to lead the design, development, and management of our Microsoft SharePoint environments (both Online and On-Premise). This pivotal role will be responsible for understanding business needs, architecting robust and scalable solutions, overseeing their development and implementation, and ensuring the effective governance and administration of our SharePoint platform. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background in SharePoint, excellent leadership abilities, and a strategic mindset to drive innovation and collaboration across the organization. Responsibilities Solution Design and Development Requirement Gathering: Collaborate closely with business stakeholders to understand their needs and translate them into functional and technical requirements for SharePoint applications and solutions. Solution Architecture: Design the end-to-end architecture of SharePoint Online and On-Premise environments, site structures, site collections, lists, libraries, workflows, forms, and custom applications. Customization and Development: Lead and participate in the development and customization of SharePoint solutions using out-of-the-box functionalities, SharePoint Designer, the Microsoft Power Platform suite (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI), and potentially custom code (e.g., JavaScript, .NET, SPFx). Workflow Automation: Architect and implement automated workflows using SharePoint workflows and/or Power Automate to streamline business processes. Forms Development: Design and develop user-centric forms leveraging SharePoint lists, Microsoft Forms, and Power Apps to facilitate data collection and processes. Integration: Strategize and implement integration of SharePoint with other Microsoft 365 applications (e.g., Teams, OneDrive), enterprise systems (e.g., CRM, ERP), and relevant third-party tools. Branding and User Interface: Oversee branding guidelines within SharePoint to ensure a consistent, intuitive, and user-friendly interface across sites and applications. SharePoint Environment Management and Administration Site Collection and Site Management: Create, configure, and manage SharePoint site collections, sites, and subsites for optimal organization and accessibility. Permissions and Security: Define and manage SharePoint security protocols, including user permissions, groups, and access controls. Content Management: Establish and enforce content management policies, guidelines, and best practices to maintain data integrity and lifecycle management. Feature Configuration: Configure and manage SharePoint features and functionalities to meet evolving business needs. Monitoring and Maintenance: Monitor health, performance, and stability; perform maintenance and troubleshoot issues. Governance and Best Practices: Develop and enforce governance policies, standards, and best practices including information architecture and metadata strategies. Upgrades and Migrations: Plan and execute upgrades and migrations (e.g., from on-premises to SharePoint Online) using tools like ShareGate, Metalogix, or PowerShell. Collaboration and Support Stakeholder Communication: Maintain clear communication with business users, IT teams, and management regarding SharePoint solutions and project progress. User Support and Training: Provide technical support, develop user documentation, and conduct training to drive adoption. Collaboration with IT Teams: Work with other IT teams to ensure seamless operation and integration within the broader IT landscape. Troubleshooting and Issue Resolution: Identify, diagnose, and resolve complex technical issues related to SharePoint applications and environment. Leadership and Strategy Technical Leadership: Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to junior SharePoint team members. Project Management: Manage SharePoint-related projects through planning, execution, monitoring, and closure. Staying Updated: Stay current with Microsoft SharePoint and Microsoft 365 developments, updates, and best practices. Strategic Input: Contribute to the organization's digital workplace strategy and identify opportunities to leverage SharePoint for efficiency and collaboration. Innovation: Identify opportunities to leverage new SharePoint features and technologies to drive innovation and improve processes. Architecture Leadership: Provide architectural leadership for both Online and On-Premise environments to ensure scalability, security, and performance. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. 8+ years of demonstrable experience in designing, developing, and managing Microsoft SharePoint environments (both Online and On-Premise). Deep understanding of SharePoint architecture, infrastructure, and best practices. Proven experience with SharePoint development and customization utilizing out-of-the-box features, SharePoint Designer, Power Platform tools (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI), and potentially custom code (e.g., JavaScript, .NET, SPFx). Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365 services and their integration with SharePoint (e.g., Teams, OneDrive). Solid understanding of SharePoint security principles, user management, and permissions. Experience in planning and executing SharePoint migrations and upgrades using relevant tools. Excellent leadership, team management, and interpersonal skills. Exceptional problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making abilities. Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences. Familiarity with governance and compliance frameworks related to SharePoint.
