Job Description

Join our growing Australia and New Zealand (ANZ) Wholesale team at one of the world's largest speciality brokers. Support the Director of ANZ Wholesale and another placement broker in the end-to-end broking lifecycle. This role offers development into a placement broker as the business grows. We seek an enthusiastic individual eager to engage with risks across different geographies and international insurance markets.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the ANZ Wholesale team in managing and expanding portfolios, including production and placement activities into Singapore and international markets.
  • Convert new business opportunities to promote profitable growth.
  • Prepare and finalize insurance documentation for efficient business placement.
  • Broker endorsements and simple placements.
  • Prepare placement summaries and coordinate with technical administration for billing.
  • Contribute to the development of the Australian and New Zealand Wholesale (re)insurance business aligned with company targets.
  • Facilitate prompt placement of (re)insurance contracts in accordance with client needs and regulatory requirements, always acting in the best interest of clients and the company.
  • Provide quality service to clients, advising and securing appropriate coverage at competitive premiums.
  • Engage with existing clients to identify further opportunities.
  • Support the Director in client servicing, renewal portfolios, new business, and risk marketing and placement.
  • Achieve financial and operational targets set for the department.
  • Promote effective communication within the department and with other teams.
  • Ensure compliance with company rules, procedures, and legal requirements, including documentation, client monies, and breach reporting.
  • Coordinate with other departments for cross-company matters.
  • Report to line manager on performance, potential claims, legal issues, disciplinary cases, and compliance matters.
  • Maintain sound business practices and proactive risk management.
  • Exercise judgment in reviewing proposals and renewals.
  • Keep files organized and ensure proper document management.
  • Perform any additional tasks as directed by the line manager.

Representing Price Forbes

  • Promote the company's core values: Collaboration, Tenacity, Creativity, Openness.
  • Represent Price Forbes with clients, agents, suppliers, and organizations.

Compliance

  • Adhere to legal, regulatory, and compliance standards, including E&O procedures and quality initiatives.
  • Report potential E&O issues promptly.
  • Complete mandatory training on time.

Your duties are flexible and may expand at the company's discretion.

Experience Required

  • 2-5 years of broking experience.
  • Certification in General Insurance (BCP, PGI, & ComGI).
  • University Degree of any discipline.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience in international markets and open market documentation is desirable but not mandatory.
  • Bi-lingual skills are viewed favorably.
