Overview

Solutions Architect (with AI Experience) role at IDEMIA. This role defines and designs solutions that address customer requirements and optimize IDEMIA’s business value, incorporating AI, biometrics, and real-time data technologies with strong focus on performance, security, and regulatory needs.

Responsibilities
  • Designs and promotes information technology solutions
  • Work with the sales team to identify external clients’ needs, pains and business requirements
  • Translate specifications into viable and profitable technological solutions
  • Collect and present project objectives, technical requirements, schedules, deliverables, cost estimates, roles and responsibilities
  • Collaborate with the client, development, sales, marketing and product teams to determine the recommended solution and provide support in meetings and presentations
  • Present the recommended solution to the client for validation and improvements
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of technological concepts to initiate enhanced solutions
  • Lead and design the solution for complex viable opportunities using the organization’s products and custom solutions
  • Pitch and promote the organization’s portfolio
  • Demonstrate expertise in a market or product area
Job Summary and Profile

We’re looking for an experienced Solution Architect to lead solution design and technical strategy for innovation projects. You’ll define system architectures that integrate AI, biometrics, and real-time data technologies, ensuring they meet performance, security, and regulatory needs. This role bridges business goals with technical execution, guiding teams in building scalable, secure, and interoperable systems across cloud and edge environments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Define and lead solution architecture across border control and identity systems
  • Translate business and operational needs into secure, scalable technical designs
  • Lead system integration, infrastructure planning, and data flow design
  • Support implementation by guiding engineering teams and ensuring alignment
  • Evaluate new technologies for strategic fit and innovation potential
  • Engage with clients, partners, and stakeholders to align with standards and compliance (e.g., ICAO, IATA, GDPR)
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
  • Experience in design and implementation of AI solutions, including Computer Vision, Large Language Models (LLM), Generative AI, or Agentic AI
  • 7+ years of experience in software/system architecture, including team leadership
  • Strong background in distributed systems, cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), and API design
  • Experience in identity, biometrics, or secure access systems
  • Strong understanding of system security, privacy, and integration at scale
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
Preferred
  • Experience with public-sector or defense-related systems
  • Familiarity with AI/ML, computer vision, or IoT
