The Advanced Remanufacturing and Technology Centre (ARTC) is a public-private partnership consortium of more than 80 industry members. Our core mission is to develop and deploy advanced manufacturing solutions and upskill the workforce to enhance local industry competitiveness. The Smart Virtual Systems (SVS) Group is seeking a highly motivated Scientist/Senior Scientist to lead research in modeling and optimization of enterprise multi-resource planning. The candidate should be independent, initiative-driven, and capable of discovering innovative solutions to challenges.

Key roles & responsibilities include:
  • Researching innovative optimization algorithms for multi-resource planning problems such as production scheduling, inventory management, and capacity planning.
  • Collaborating with engineers to translate research into practical industry solutions.
  • Formulating research directions and proposals aligned with industry needs to secure funding.
Job Requirements:
  • PhD in AI, Computer Science, Operations Research, or related fields focusing on optimization, machine learning, and data science.
  • Experience in modeling and optimization is preferred.
  • At least 3 years of research and R&D leadership experience in relevant areas.
  • Programming skills in developing optimization and machine learning algorithms.
  • Strong publication record in top journals or conferences.
  • Understanding of production planning and scheduling domains.
  • Excellent presentation and writing skills.
  • Experience applying optimization algorithms to multi-resource planning is advantageous.
