Job Description

We are seeking a passionate, dedicated and experienced Preschool Principal to join our MapleBear family at North-East.

The ideal candidate is a strong and inspiring leader who believes in providing quality early childhood education while creating a nurturing, safe and positive environment for children, educators and families.

As a Preschool Principal, you will play a key role in leading the centre's daily operations, driving enrolment growth, developing your teaching team and maintaining high standards of education and service excellence.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee the overall management and daily operations of the preschool.
Ensure full compliance with ECDA regulations, licensing requirements and safety standards.
Lead, mentor and motivate teachers to maintain high standards of teaching and professionalism.
Foster a positive working environment that encourages teamwork, staff development and retention.
Build strong relationships with parents and ensure excellent communication and customer service.
Drive enrolment growth through effective parent engagement, centre tours and community outreach.
Monitor centre performance, operational budgets, manpower planning and resource utilisation.
Oversee curriculum implementation and ensure quality teaching and learning experiences.
Manage parent feedback and resolve concerns professionally and effectively.
Work closely with management to achieve the centre's operational and educational objectives.

Job Requirements

Diploma in Early Childhood Care & Education – Leadership (DECCE-L) or other ECDA-recognised equivalent qualification.
Meets ECDA requirements for appointment as a Preschool Principal.
Minimum 3 years of relevant leadership or management experience in the early childhood sector preferred.
Strong knowledge of ECDA regulations and preschool operational requirements.
Excellent leadership, interpersonal and communication skills.
Good organisational, problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
Ability to manage centre operations, enrolment targets and staff performance.
Passionate about early childhood education and committed to children's well-being.
