What the role is:

Senior GeoSpatial Manager

What you will be working on:

Singapore Land Authority is the geospatial agency in Singapore, managing and operating a public map platform to provide localised and accurate map data and location-based services (LBS) for government agencies, private sectors, and public.

We are seeking a senior Geospatial Platform Project Manager to lead the expansion of our public map platform. In this role, you will enhance the platform's usage, capabilities, and user convenience while fostering collaborations with key stakeholders. Working closely with our engineering team, designers, and product managers, you'll oversee funding, procurement, and stakeholder engagement to ensure efficient project execution and delivery of impactful geospatial services. This position offers the opportunity to manage the development of valuable location-based services, grow a platform for public good, and make a tangible impact. The ideal candidate will have experience in project managing applications, along with relevant expertise in geospatial technologies.

  • Develop and manage project plans, timelines, and budgets.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align objectives and deliverables.

  • Oversee project execution, manage resources, and mitigate risks.

  • Stay updated on geospatial technologies and drive platform innovation.

  • Coordinate between technical teams, agencies, and stakeholders.

  • Identify collaboration opportunities and manage stakeholder expectations.

  • Manage project finances, including budgets, funding, and procurement.

What we are looking for:

  • Background in Geospatial Science, GIS, Computer Science, or related field.

  • 5+ years of experience in geospatial project management, preferably in public sector or enterprise projects.

  • Strong understanding of GIS (e.g., ArcGIS, QGIS), web mapping (e.g., Leaflet, Cesium, Mapbox), geospatial data management (e.g., PostGIS), and location-based services integration (e.g., RESTful APIs).

  • Experience managing complex, multi-stakeholder projects.

  • Proficiency in project management methodologies (e.g. Agile, Scrum, or equivalent) and tools (e.g., JIRA, MS Project, or equivalent).

  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

  • Detail-oriented with a focus on high-quality outcomes.

  • Knowledge of software development processes and workflows.
