Investment Insights Group We use advanced quantitative techniques and cutting‑edge technological tools to generate insights that drive outstanding investment outcomes for GIC. Data Science & Innovation Team You will be part of a team of data scientists building AI solutions to support GIC enterprise‑wide users. As the Center of Excellence for AI in GIC, you will build advanced tools and platforms that impact all departments of GIC, including both investment and corporate functions. You will have the opportunity to work in a central team or to work directly with stakeholder departments. What will you do as a Data Scientist? Have extensive experience in LLM and other machine learning or data science areas. Design and implement AI workflows to solve business problems. Deploy AI solutions to production and iterate based on user feedback. Independently conduct research on idea generation in the investment process and corporate function support. What qualifications or skills should you possess? Formal training in a quantitative discipline (Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics, Finance, Engineering, or related field) and experience applying those skills in an applied research environment. LLM experience in industry settings is a must. Strong software engineering skills and best practices (e.g., code smell, single‑responsibility principle, functional programming). Strong statistical fundamentals, experience with hypothesis testing and sampling; demonstrated programming skills are highly desirable. Understanding of financial markets, including multi‑asset research, is a plus. Understanding of data available in the investment management industry and experience accessing such data to support research efforts. Ability to work efficiently and multi‑task effectively in a fast‑paced, team‑oriented environment, including end‑to‑end research project work from data gathering through hypothesis testing and model implementation. At least 8 years of hands‑on engineering experience with software projects related to data science or machine learning. Good communication skills; ability to explain results clearly to stakeholders.
