Overview

We are seeking a Frontend Engineer to join our product and engineering team full-time. You will be responsible for building sleek, high-performance web applications that deliver engaging user experiences. This role offers opportunities to take ownership of features, collaborate across teams, and contribute to shaping the future of entertainment technology at Ally Universe.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and optimize web and mobile applications (Web, Android, iOS) and STB (set-top box) interfaces.
  • Translate UI/UX designs from Figma into functional, high-quality code.
  • Collaborate closely with backend engineers (C++/Java), designers, and product managers to deliver seamless user experiences.
  • Ensure cross-platform consistency in design, functionality, and performance.
  • Implement responsive layouts, video player features, and interactive components with high usability standards.
  • Conduct testing and debugging across devices to ensure smooth playback and stable performance.
  • Stay up to date with emerging frontend, mobile, and streaming technologies, and propose improvements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • Solid foundation in Java for Web development.
  • Familiarity with Kotlin for Android/STB applications or Swift for iOS applications.
  • Understanding of RESTful APIs and backend integration (C++/Java-based).
  • Strong problem-solving skills, adaptability, and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in version control systems (e.g., Git).
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Prior professional or internship experience in frontend/mobile development is a plus, but motivated fresh graduates are welcome.

Preferred Qualities

  • Willingness to learn and apply AI-powered tools in programming and development workflows.
  • Experience in building responsive web applications and optimizing cross-platform performance.
  • Familiarity with state management approaches and UI/animation libraries to create smooth, engaging video interfaces.
  • Understanding of automated testing, deployment workflows, and CI/CD practices.
  • Interest or experience in media/streaming platforms, OTT, or interactive video applications.
  • Passion for entertainment and digital storytelling.
