As an Investment Operations Manager at Ares, you will play a crucial role in managing investment and divestment activities such as scheduling IC committee meetings, preparing minutes and resolutions, dealing with KYC, and obtaining Trustee consents. Your responsibilities will also include overseeing the daily operations of AIF Funds in accordance with the Fund Documents, liaising with the fund administrator and investors, and monitoring cashflow and reporting from underlying portfolio companies.You will be responsible for stakeholder management, ensuring timely communication with auditors, trustees, bankers, custodians, fund accounting professionals, tax advisors, legal advisors, and other stakeholders. Additionally, you will assist in statutory and regulatory audit processes, investor reporting, managing investor distributions, and the valuation exercise of the Fund portfolio companies.Your role will involve supporting deal and AM teams in asset management activities, assisting with investor activities such as onboarding, KYC, and drawdowns, and contributing to setting up new AIF/schemes for the FME entity. You will stay updated on changing regulations and their impact on operations, assist the Compliance/legal team in Fund documentation, and maintain internal trackers and checklists to ensure effective monitoring of all AIF areas.To excel in this position, you should be a Chartered Accountant with 9-13 years of relevant experience, including working with in-house accounts/operations divisions of AIF/fund administrators/global funds. Proficiency in MS Excel, MS Word, and PowerPoint, knowledge of relevant GIFT City, AIF, and FPI regulations, general accounting practices, and Indian tax regulations are essential. You should possess strong analytical and organizational skills, attention to detail, good time management, and be self-motivated with a solution-oriented approach.Your reporting relationship will be with the Principal, Investment Operations.
