  • As Counsel, Site and Vendor Contracts at Fortrea, you will provide legal support and counseling to business leaders on matters related to vendor and site agreements, ensuring compliance and mitigating legal risk. Your primary focus will be on supporting contracts management, business units, and corporate functions globally. You will work closely with the Senior Counsel and Senior Director to provide advice, guidance, and expertise on vendor and site matters impacting the company's operations.Responsibilities:- Provide advice and support to Company departments on client issues while safeguarding the company's fundamental interests and adhering to company rules and policies.- Collaborate with department staff to ensure advice accurately reflects the company's obligations and rights with clients.- Assist in drafting, negotiating, and reviewing company contracts, including participating in negotiations with site and vendor representatives.- Counsel internal stakeholders on disputes, performance issues, and potential legal risks.- Continuously improve company contractual templates based on emerging trends and risk management strategies.- Manage knowledge, organize work product, and lead or support dispute resolution and claims management.- Recommend and implement systems to streamline support requests and minimize risk exposure.- Promote company-wide risk management initiatives and contracting policies.- Implement strategies to ensure legal compliance and minimize risks, including training, advice to operational staff, and contract reviews.Qualifications:- Juris Doctor degree or equivalent with bar admission in good standing.- Ability to maintain confidentiality and excellent contract drafting and negotiation skills.- Experience in reviewing commercial contracts and providing business-focused advice.- Knowledge of general corporate practices, contracting models, and commercial practices.- Ability to counsel senior executives and interact effectively with stakeholders.- Proficiency in MS Office products and strong written and verbal communication skills.- Excellent management skills and the ability to train and develop personnel.- Strong analytical skills and effective time management and organizational abilities.- Pro-active approach, ability to work independently, and drive projects to resolution.- Commitment to fostering an inclusive culture and embracing diverse perspectives.Experience:- Minimum 8 years of experience in a reputable law firm or as an in-house lawyer.- Industry experience or knowledge of clinical development preferred.Preferred Qualifications:- Familiarity with MS Office, Teams, Workday, and Sharepoint.Physical Demands / Work Environment:- Remote role with working hours from 2 PM to 11 PM IST (2nd shift hours).,
