We're looking for a Quality Assurance & Risk Oversight (QARO) Specialist. He/she will support the Head, QARO in ensuring operational and design effectiveness of key controls to mitigate KYC, ML, TF, and Sanctions risks. The role involves running the QA program, assisting in its implementation, analyzing QA processes for automation opportunities, and engaging with peers and management to innovate and improve the QA program.

The day-to-day activities include:

  1. Assist in executing the QA program, including monitoring and testing reviews on financial crime, bank operations, and customer support.
  2. Plan and execute ongoing monitoring reviews, including report preparation.
  3. Utilize technical skills in Python, SQL, VBA to design automation solutions for QA processes.
  4. Stay updated on industry trends and regulatory changes; leverage data analytics to identify emerging risks and future-proof the bank against AML and Sanctions risks.
  5. Engage stakeholders to identify process improvement opportunities.

The must-haves:

  1. Experienced risk, controls, and assurance professional in financial services, with monitoring and assurance testing expertise.
  2. Proficient in designing automated QA processes using ML/AI, with skills in SQL, Python, VBA.
  3. Strong analytical skills using Excel or Google Sheets, including pivot tables, data analysis, and providing recommendations.
  4. Bank process exposure is beneficial.
  5. Familiarity with Retail, Corporate, SME segments, Lending, or Credit Operations is preferred.
  6. Knowledge of MAS regulations on AML/CFT/Sanctions is advantageous.
  7. Ability to identify process improvements and collaborate with product and engineering teams.
  8. Proactive, builder mindset with strong stakeholder engagement skills.
  9. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  10. Ability to adapt and thrive in a startup VUCA environment.
  11. Fresh graduates with coding skills and banking internship experience may apply.
