About the Team

Our e-commerce department is responsible for researching and developing NLP algorithms for TikTok's overseas e-commerce business. Key areas include intelligent customer service and machine translation.

Responsibilities
  • Develop intelligent customer service solutions for TikTok and its affiliates, focusing on automated robots and intelligent assistance. This includes:
    • Intelligent dialogue systems for customer interaction.
    • Active service and intelligent marketing solutions to enhance customer experience.
    • Algorithms for identifying customer intent and answering various inquiries.
  • Ensure high language quality across TikTok's overseas e-commerce platforms (e.g., TikTok Shopping, Fanno) by:
    • Improving machine translation quality for product information and communications between buyers and sellers.
    • Supporting cross-lingual search capabilities.
Key Responsibilities Include
  • Conducting R&D in NLP, focusing on:
    • Language understanding (intention and emotion recognition, FAQ).
    • Building intelligent dialogue systems (mining questions and answers).
    • Multilingual text generation (product descriptions, dialogue summaries, email responses).
    • Machine translation (product titles, details, and communications).
    • Cross-lingual search (matching and vector retrieval).
  • Develop scalable and optimized AI/ML models.
  • Create algorithms for processing large volumes of real-time unstructured data.
  • Test model performance, identify bugs, and resolve issues.
  • Collaborate in a team environment using statistical and programming knowledge.
  • Work with relevant software platforms for model deployment.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a related field, with a preference for candidates experienced in NLP (intelligent dialogue, machine translation).
  • Proficient in at least one programming language (C/C++, Java, Go, Python).
  • Preferred candidates will have published papers in top-tier conferences such as ACL, EMNLP, COLING, AAAI, or IEEE TASLP.
