Role: GenAI Motion Graphic Designer

About the role:

We’re looking for a GenAI Motion Graphic Designer who will use the Pencil platform to deliver high quality, high performing ads to either enterprise clients or small businesses. You will likely have a team working with you, and by nature of your expertise, they will largely engage with you to resolve creative challenges and overcome the limitations of GenAI today.

You will require deep experience with GenAI tools and their applications in the advertising industry and for marketing clients, along with the positivity, energy, and lateral problem-solving skills to explore and expand techniques to push beyond any perceived creative limitations. One key measure of your success will be your ability to inspire a team with creative solutions day-to-day. Doing this successfully will deliver impact for our clients and elevate your work, making you one of the leading voices of the GenAI revolution.

What you will be doing:

• Must be hands-on and enjoy working with a team.
• A love of design, motion graphics, and storytelling while best demonstrating GenAI capabilities within a systematic GenAI delivery process.
• Thorough knowledge of marketing principles and branding, along with a demonstrated track record of success and performance.
• Where necessary, directly intervene in developing, generating, or manually retouching outputs to meet quality standards across briefs.
• Handle multiple projects simultaneously and thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
• Willingness to accept feedback and iterate over designs in a highly collaborative, low-ego team environment.
• Curiosity, creativity, and ambition.
• The ability to take a project from concept to completion; good communication, organizational, and time management skills are essential.
• Ensure final deliverables exceed design and production requirements and expectations.
• Work with our Training team to actively explore, implement, and explain new GenAI techniques to help our wider user base achieve high-quality creative outputs.
• Work with our Product & Engineering teams to test new GenAI features and provide feedback to drive platform improvements.

As a business, we're committed to ensuring everyone on our team is fully trained and confident in using Pencil AI and other approved AI tools. A wide range of internal resources are available to ensure our teams stay ahead of the AI curve: training, webinars, newsletters, AI communities, etc.

You would be responsible for being actively AI proficient and keeping up to date by:

• Continuously up-skilling using our approved AI tools including Pencil.
• Staying up to date with evolving AI trends through our newsletters, webinars, hackathons, AI communities, etc.
• Facilitating collaborative knowledge-sharing sessions to foster an open exchange of AI expertise and embrace our culture of learning.

What you need to be great in this role:

• 4-5 years of design and animation experience.
• Must have experience working with beauty brands.
• Expertise in design and animation across all platforms.
• Must have excellent design, typography, and layout skills; attention to detail is critical.
• Expertise in the Adobe Creative Suite: After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and Premiere.
• Attention to detail with the ability to work on your own initiative.
• Excellent experience working closely with clients during kick-off.
• Confident in bringing your own innovative ideas and creativity to projects while working within a broad range of design guidelines across various design collateral.
• Strong client liaison, with a proven track record of developing strong client relationships.
• Effectively organizing and prioritizing workloads to manage client delivery while simultaneously influencing clients with your own ideas and conceptual creativity.
• Working knowledge of After Effects animation is a bonus.
• Confident and comfortable working in a fast-paced, changing client environment.
• A passionate and inspiring creative.
• The aptitude to learn new software and programs efficiently and effectively.
• Self-motivated, working with little supervision.
• Collaborative team player, open-minded – non-political.
