OVERVIEW

MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB

We are seeking experienced English into Chinese (based in Singapore) translators to join our growing team for a global client, a music streaming company offering entertainment services such as music streaming and podcasts. The successful candidates will take ownership of incoming work on this account and contribute to its success.

Project Details:

Job Title: English into Chinese Creative UI and Marketing Senior Translator/Reviewer

Start Date: ASAP

Location: Remote (based in Singapore)

Task Type(s): Translation, Copy Editing, Research

Estimated Work Volume: 1-2 hours/day

Employment Type: Freelance

MAIN DUTIES
  • Translate and review content from English into Chinese , ensuring the original meaning is conveyed in a manner that is readable and understandable to the target audience.
  • Content types include: Informational, Legal, Marketing, Product, Support .
REQUIRED SKILLS
  • Minimum 2 years' experience translating and reviewing content in the specified subject matter.
  • Proficient in all areas of expertise: marketing, product, legal, and informational .
  • Well-versed in various translation and terminology tools.
  • Excellent communication skills in English (spoken and written).
    • Native fluency in the target language.
    • Degree in linguistics, translation, or equivalent experience.
    • Able to follow instructions, e.g., character restrictions.
    • Capable of effectively communicating the rationale behind transcreation skills.
    • Knowledge of technical (UI, customer support) and creative (synopses, episodic titles) content.
