Data Engineer (High Speed Packet Processing)

We are seeking a Data Engineer to join our team in the field of High-Speed Packet Processing. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining Deep Packet Inspection (DPI) solutions, working with engineering, product, and operations teams to enhance functionalities, identify bottlenecks, and create innovative data processing solutions to support business decisions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Research, prototype, and implement new solutions to enhance capabilities or explore new opportunities.
  • Design, develop, test, and optimize software for scalability, reliability, and performance.
  • Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and stakeholders to develop solutions and address complex problems.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • At least 1 year of software development experience in C/C++ and/or Python; relevant projects or internships considered for fresh graduates.
Nice-to-haves
  • Experience with network protocols, Wireshark, and Intel DPDK.
  • Familiarity with DPI engines like Snort and Suricata.
  • Experience with Linux programming.
  • Knowledge of CI/CD tools such as GitLab CI/CD or similar.
Considerations for Senior Positions
  • At least 4 years of experience in high-speed packet processing.
  • Proven experience in designing and implementing data compute-intensive systems.
  • Experience leading and mentoring engineering teams.

Note: As CSIT is under the Ministry of Defence (Singapore), only Singapore Citizens will be considered.
