Responsibilities- TikTok-Data Video Recommendation Team is responsible for the personalized recommendation algorithms for TikTok's hundreds of millions of global users. Collaborate with top algorithm engineers, leveraging deep learning, recommendation algorithms, and large models to transform and enhance the TikTok user experience and content ecosystem.
- The local service recommendation team focuses on targeting user experience and transaction scale optimization for lifestyle service content, including hotels, travel, dining, and more. Role aims to pioneer new content and revenue streams for the company.
- Work on recommendation algorithms for international short video-based local services, optimize large-scale recommendation algorithms, solve complex constraint optimization problems, and improve algorithms across content understanding, LLM applications, CV/NLP.
- Design and implement recommendation system architectures for multiple scenarios and conduct in-depth analysis of product data. Explore optimization and enhancement of machine learning algorithms and engage with cutting-edge recommendation system architectures and large recommendation models.
- Drive research directions such as scaling up model parameters, cross-modal alignment and unified representation learning (including recommendation, multi-modal content, and natural language), ultra-long sequence modeling, and generative recommendation models for international local service scenarios.

Qualifications- Minimum Qualifications: Solid foundation in machine learning and programming, with in-depth research experience in ML, NLP, CV, and proficiency in core algorithms and data structures.
- Experience or strong interest in modeling and aligning multi-modal information (visual, text, audio) to enhance content understanding and user intent matching for deeper semantic understanding.
- Experience with generative + search advertising projects or strong interest in generative technologies; prior work on TIGER generative recall, LRM generative prediction, generative bidding, etc., is a strong plus.
- Prior experience in generative recommendation or search advertising projects, or strong passion for generative technologies, will be given priority.
- Publications in top-tier international conferences (e.g., KDD, SIGIR, RecSys, ACL, NeurIPS) are a plus.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, enthusiasm for tackling challenging problems, and a passion for technology and innovation.
