Interesting opportunity for a professional with prior ice cream processing industry to join an established F&B manufacturer, to be responsible for the required technical manufacturing and engineering changes resulting from the ice cream category innovation and renovation of product, processes and systems in addition to provide technical assistance and competency development to the market engineering teams.

Role:

  • Provide process engineering leadership in new product development projects
  • Create/lead new projects focusing in development of innovative processes or renovation of existing processes related to ice-cream processing
  • Direct the development of standardized specifications for process equipment and capital estimates of new equipment purchases for new products
  • Lead the implementation from benchtop to Pilot Plant to factory scale for industrialization of new products or processes
  • Execute R&D capital projects within Ice Cream unit including scheduling, budgeting, installing, documenting and training
  • Lead internal network contacts (R&D community and production facilities) and external (leading technical communities and publications) to promote cross fertilization of ideas and efficient sharing of information for new products and processes
  • Represent organization at various technical seminars, workshops and project review meetings
  • Stay current with quality and safety systems, and regulatory requirements
  • Serve as primary operations point of contact with Operations team

Requirements:

  • Bachelor or Advanced degree in Engineering, preferable in Mechanical/Chemical/Food Science or Food Technology
  • 5 years (with advanced degree) of process engineering experience in the food manufacturing industry
  • 5 years of experience in Ice Cream manufacturing or R&D function
  • Possess strong technical knowledge and experience in producing ice cream in cone or stick forms
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and propose innovative solutions
  • Agile mindset, coupled with autonomy and strong collaborative spirit
