Responsibilities
  • Lead delivery of high-risk audits of enterprise-wide technology, including Technology Architecture and Infrastructure, ITIL processes (Incident, Problem & Change, Asset Management, Technology Operations).
  • Supervise audit teams, provide coaching and mentoring, and work with GIA technology and business teams to deliver audits covering enterprise technologies.
  • Support in writing audit opinions for risk committee papers and the Board Audit Committee; clearly explain technical issues to senior technology leaders and document audit issues, reports, and opinions.
  • Manage resources to deliver audits within budget and timelines; track implementation of agreed audit issues and assist auditees in developing quality action plans.
  • Champion innovation and increase the use of data analytics and AI techniques in audit assignments.
Strategy & Governance
  • Build relationships with Technology senior leaders to gain insights on current and future T&A strategy and roadmap.
  • Keep up with key changes in the T&A portfolio and perform risk assessments to identify audit coverage areas.
  • Provide leadership and supervision to the audit teams and ensure independence from management in line with the Audit Charter.
People, Talent & Skills
  • Coach and mentor team members; develop skills and competencies to support future readiness.
  • Share knowledge with the wider GIA and provide advisory support to internal auditors from both business and technology teams.
Regulatory & Conduct
  • Display exemplary conduct and adhere to the Group's Values and Code of Conduct; have knowledge of regulatory requirements related to technology (PRA, FCA, HKMA, MAS, RBI).
  • Embed highest standards of ethics, identify and escalate regulatory and compliance matters, and ensure effective risk management across Standard Chartered Bank.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's / Master's degree in Information Technology or related field.
  • 12+ years of hands-on experience in technology operations, with in-depth knowledge of Platforms, Networks, Databases, Storage, Cloud and emerging technologies.
  • Professional Certifications (CISA, CCSP, CCAK, CISSP, PMP, ITIL) and experience in risk and project management.
Technical Competencies
  • Technologies: Platforms, Networks, Databases, Storage; Public Cloud; Virtualization; Middleware; Collaboration and Communication Services.
  • Concepts & Tools: Technology Architecture, Infrastructure as Code, DevOps/DevSecOps, Central Observability Platforms, Data Analytics, Python, SQL.
  • Audit-related knowledge: Risk & Controls, Microsoft Office suite.
