We are currently seeking a skilled Offshore Rigger to join our team. As an Offshore Rigger, you will play a crucial role in the safe and efficient rigging operations on offshore oil and gas platforms. You'll be responsible for performing a wide range of rigging tasks, including lifting and moving heavy equipment, securing loads, and ensuring that all rigging operations are conducted in accordance with industry standards and safety regulations.
Responsibilities- Perform rigging activities on offshore platforms, including lifting and moving heavy equipment and materials.
- Understand and adhere to all safety regulations and procedures while carrying out rigging operations.
- Inspect and maintain rigging equipment to ensure its proper functioning and compliance with safety standards.
- Assist in the planning and coordination of rigging activities, including determining the best techniques and equipment to use.
- Communicate with crane operators and other team members to ensure the safe and efficient execution of rigging operations.
- Conduct risk assessments and implement appropriate control measures to minimize hazards during rigging activities.
- Monitor and control rigging equipment during lifting operations to ensure stability and prevent accidents.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid offshore safety certifications, such as BOSIET and HUET.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as an Offshore Rigger.
- Strong knowledge of rigging techniques, equipment, and lifting procedures.
- Familiarity with industry safety regulations and best practices.
- Ability to interpret and follow technical drawings and specifications.
- Good physical stamina and dexterity to perform rigging tasks in challenging offshore conditions.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Strong attention to detail and focus on safety.
- Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing priorities.
- Willingness to travel and work on offshore platforms for extended periods of time.
