Your role in the team

This new role in the Europe and Emerging Markets marketing team will be responsible for shaping the future of Emerging Markets marketing. You'll bring a broad understanding of end-to-end marketing, and will have applied this to successfully grow a business in emerging markets in the past, and in return you'll be given the freedom to own the strategy and plans and the resources to execute on these plans.

What you’ll do

• Responsible for end-to-end marketing strategy, planning and execution for all markets where IG does not have a license, with a focus on Hong Kong, Malaysia, Taiwan and LatAm.

• Lead a transformation of our approach to marketing in Emerging Markets and South Africa, moving from a wholly localised model for strategy, planning and execution to a joined-up divisional approach which leverages local execution

• Leverage owned and earned media, as well as partnerships, as a key growth driver in markets where we adopt a predominantly reverse enquiry model

• Line management of marketing management and execution for the geography

• Partnering with the Head of Emerging Markets, forming a key part of their leadership team and contributing to the broader growth plan for their markets

• Partnering with internal and external agencies and colleagues to step-change the effectiveness of our marketing processes and activities

• Be an active member of the Europe and Emerging Markets Marketing Leadership team

What you’ll need for this role

• A seasoned and passionate strategic BC marketing leader, you’ll have demonstrable experience of growing a business through an innovative approach to marketing leveraging owned and earned media

• A detailed understanding of marketing in unregulated or unlicensed markets, and on how to maximise growth opportunities in this environment. You’ll be comfortable challenging the status quo and agitating for change. Operating in Emerging Markets will be second nature to you

• Using data and insight to drive and inform end-to-end marketing plans will be one of your core skills, and you’ll have been responsible for owning the planning process for numerous budgeting cycles in large organisations

• You’ll be an experienced and inspiring leader who’s built, developed and lead teams across multiple geographies

• Being comfortable operating in a matrix environment is essential, as you’ll be partnering with marketing and geographic leaders as you devise and deliver your plans

• You’ll pride yourself on your commercial acumen and your ability to articulate the value that marketing is adding to the organisation

• You’ll have been part of a transformation of marketing operations – knowing how to drive continuous changes in processes to improve efficiency and effectiveness
