Job Description

  • To design and independent review of design submissions of major structural engineering works. 
  • Undertake structural analysis, calculations and prepare design sketches and drawings indicating arrangement and design intent for a variety of transportation structures. 
  • Involved in prestressed/post-tension concrete and steel structure design 
  • Conduct engineering assessments and evaluations related to existing structures and/or structural alternatives and prepare technical reports documenting the results. 
  • Liaise/coordinate with other disciplines/departments in preparation of reports and design packages for multi-disciplinary projects. 
  • Communicate with clients, sub consultants, approving agencies, etc. for purposes of obtaining design information, presenting design alternatives, and expediting approvals 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering 
  • Recognized PE will be advantageous 
  • Minimum 7-10 years experience in hands-on design for Structural projects 
  • Familiar with prestressed/post-tensioned concrete and steel structure design 
  • Familiar with structure framing and element design including steel structure
